There are many images of serpents in my body of work. My fascination with serpents, especially with the legendary Serpent of Eden began in childhood. I saw the serpent as a positive figure, bearing gifts of knowledge and curiosity. I saw Eve as a goddess figure who brought these gifts to humans.

I have carved other animals, including birds and fish, inspired by the grace of their movement through water and air.
